Remember to check out their DEDICATED WEDDING POST for some great memories.
It has been a while since I created a fan vid! I had planned this one for a long time, and had hoped to have it complete for Camila’s Birthday on Valentine’s day… Hopefully she will not mind a couple of days delay, and neither will you… I hope it makes you smile:
I really love this version of My Girl, by NOTA (winners of the 1st season of NBC’s “The Sing Off” in 2009):
As Bachelor Nation awaits, more or less impatiently, for the “tell all” book by season 16′s villain Courtney Roberston, titled “I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain” (due June 2014… and YES you can pre-order!)…
…I wanted to provide you all with one place to find all the books published by some of our favourites contestants and leads.
Let’s start with the original bachelorette, gorgeous Trista Sutter.
Her book Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart is her look back over the last 10 years, her marriage with Ryan, and more importantly family, friendship, and how powerfully gratitude can transform your life. Here is what long-time host and friend Chris Harrison has to say about the book:
“We call Trista the ‘godmother’ of the Bachelor franchise for a reason. She stands for everything that’s good about our show and life—and that shines through in her book. After reading Happily Ever After, I’m even more proud to call her my friend.”
Onto the other end of the spectrum, one of the most recent Bachelor-related book to grace the shelves of bookstores everywhere is of course “Diamonds + Hearts: A Poetic Memoir” by Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock and her fiancé Chris Siegfried:
Take your mind back to the worst ever dumping on TV, also known as Jason switching from Melissa Rycroft to (his now wife) Molly during a very special “After The Final Rose” episode back in 2010. Obviously Melissa has more than moved on since, as “the star of The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars, and special correspondent for Good Morning America shares her story with warmth, enthusiasm, and humor” in her book My Reality published in 2012.
Another behind the scenes look and autobiography, this time from a contestant in Brad Womack’s second time as The Bachelor, funeral director Shawntel Newton. In Final Rose, Shawntel shares stories of love and death, inspiration and commitment to a vocation that is often misunderstood.
It seems the Bachelorettes are very prolific! After breaking off her engagement with Bachelor number 3 Andrew Firestone, Jen Schefft went on to star in The Bachelorette (season 3) but rejected the final two bachelors. Guess she figured she was better alone than with the wrong guy… and she wrote Better Single Than Sorry: A No-Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Never Settling to prove it.
Time for a guy’s point of view, and 4th Bachelor Bob Guiney‘s 2003 What a difference a year makes:
or even his music… (I know, I am going off-subject!):
Also out there, Dave Good’s “The Man Code”, Gwen and Helene (of Aaron’s season)’s “Nobody’s Perfect” or Trista’s ex Jamie Blyth’s personal retelling of his struggles against social anxiety and panic disorder in “Fear Is No Longer My Reality”.
For something really different, you only need look toward season 2 Bachelorette Meredith Philips‘ “The Date Night Cookbook: Romantic Recipes for the Busy Couple.
Moving even further from any reality TV related topic, bachelor number 8 Dr. Travis Stork has published several wellness and health books, the most successful being The Lean Belly Prescription and A 7-Step Prescription for Optimal Wellness
But… Travis also used his experience as the Bachelor and a real-life serial monogamist to pen this little gem for us ladies:
One of the rare pieces of pure (official) fiction in the list, Prince Lorenzo Borghese’s novel The Princess of Nowhere. Our 9th bachelor is a descendant of the brother-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte and this first is described on Amazon.com as “a captivating and richly atmospheric re-imagining of the life of the author’s famous ancestor, Princess Pauline Bonaparte Borghese.”
Onto children books, and there again Bachelor nation is becoming quite prolific!
What a year 2012 was for Holly Durst who found love on the 2nd edition of Bachelor Pad with now husband Blake Julian. She even won the show with ex Michael Stagliano. She married Blake in June 2012, 3 short months after her first book Chocolate Socks was finally published.
Just released in January 2014 (only a few days before I write this!), another children book, this time published and co-written (with his sister Brittany Rose) by Bachelorette season 9′s Zack “K” Kalter, called Cosie’s Closet and The Magical Bakery Store (Volume 1)
