What a night for Emily! First kisses (a lot of them), 2 guys sent home off-schedule, and a few crushes developing. Lots of fabulous recaps out there – and this week I would warmly recommend Ashley Spivey’s, as it had me in tears! Or you could ‘Go West’ (ah!) and get a 2 for the price of 1 with Bachelorette 7 alum West Lee’s recap!
So, instead I am going to focus once again on the things that really struck a chord with me, be it my bitchy, funny or romantic sides! And, due to popular demand, I’ll throw in a little video for those yummy moments we just can’t get enough of!
So Chris gets his date and that was under-whelming to say the list. I guess no amount of adrenalin can make 2 people spontaneously kiss if there is no chemistry, good looking or not. So instead we get a high 5 and a polite kiss after asking permission. Not hot! I found hilarious though that the watching crowd was watching the cameras not the climbing!
Back at the house, Jef gets to read the group date card… and pure selfish indulgence brings me to tell you that this smile makes me melt (Yep, I got a crush):
And so the group date starts… or as I call it the “Demise-Of-The-Ryan/Rise-Of-The_Sean”… I mean Ryan was really trying to get on everyone’s bad side, from Emily herself to her friends, the guys, and the viewing public. I am sure he thought he was smooth with his interrupting BFFs time, saying Em couldn’t get fat and generally acting as if they were already married. As for Sean, he had the right moves (and body) and all the right words, both during the date and during the cocktail party.
So overall, I loved this date – hot men, sweet kids, fun friends, goofy guys… all call for a quick video:
Shout out to Wendy (GO GIRL!) and to Emily for doing all the right things so far, including sending “great-dad-no-love-potential” Tony home. And for the first attempt from Jef at showing Emily that he in fact IS interested: “I have a major crush on you!”
On to Arie’s date… well, you’ll see enough of that in the video, so let’s just pay homage to the amazing Dolly Parton – plus I had to do a gif of THAT – the total excitement of Arie and the total fear on Emily’s face!
Ah what a rose ceremony! Rarely before seen Alessandro (now we kow why!) mis-using of the word “compromise” (which is the word forcommitment in Portuguese!) did not please Emily – Mama Bear is coming out big time, and the previews seem to indicate this is not a one time thing! Here are my best bits from the demise of Shelly, to Emily discovering the condescending side of Kalon, plus of course Ryan’s face as Arie was kissing Emily in the corridor – message to Ryan: “Get over yourself!”
As we say goodbye to Stevie, here is a little farewell dance:
Now, let’s just sit back and watch some making out :-p
To finish, here is an extract from a video which I found very interesting… Emily ranking the guys on:
- Most likely to succeed: Ryan
- Most generous: Chris
- Most romantic: Arie
- Silliest: Tie between Arie and Jef
- Best body/Best legs: Sean
- Best mind: Jef
- Nicest eyes: Arie
- Biggest heart: Doug
- Best smile: Sean
- Best sense of humour: no hesitation there! Jef
When asked what she is looking for in a man… “Just make me laugh!” Ahem… you thinking what I’m thinking? Full video is here.
See you next week 🙂 #BeHappy
